Volunteer With Head Trauma Support Project, Inc.
Volunteers play an important role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for adults living with acquired brain injury and their families. By volunteering with Head Trauma Support Project, Inc., you help foster connection, encouragement, and meaningful social interaction.
We especially welcome student volunteers who are interested in service learning, community engagement, or gaining experience working with diverse populations.
No medical or clinical experience is required.
How You Can Volunteer
- Support group meetings and activities
- Help with social events and community outings
- Assist facilitators with setup and organization
- Provide friendly conversation and peer support
- Supporting outreach or special programs as needed
Student Volunteer Opportunities
Ideal for students exploring careers in health, social services, or community work.
Students from local colleges and universities have long been an important part of our volunteer community. Volunteering with HTSP offers students the opportunity to:
- Gain hands-on experience in a community-based nonprofit setting
- Build communication and interpersonal skills
- Support individuals and families affected by acquired brain injury
- Fulfill service learning, internship, or volunteer hour requirements when applicable
- Learn alongside trained facilitators and experienced volunteers
